Folio

Privacy Policy

Last updated July 22, 2026

The short version: Folio is built to respect your privacy. It has no ads and does not sell your data.

Data collection

Folio does not collect, sell, or transmit personal information to the developer. The app contains no advertising, third-party analytics SDKs, or developer-operated network service.

Scores and annotations

Imported PDFs, camera scans, staff paper, annotations, and library metadata are stored inside your Folio library. The developer cannot access your library.

iCloud

Your library is stored locally unless you enable Store Library in iCloud. When enabled, Apple’s iCloud service stores and synchronizes the library through your Apple account, subject to Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

Camera access

Folio requests camera access only when you choose to scan sheet music. Scanned pages are added to your library and are not sent to the developer.

Exports

A score leaves Folio only when you choose to export, print, or share it using destinations available on your device.

Children’s privacy

Folio does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any other users.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app’s features or privacy practices change. The date at the top of this page will identify the latest revision.
